Baseball Comes From Behind To Defeat Cleary

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights baseball team came back from a 7-1 deficit to defeat Cleary 10-7 on Sunday.

The Saints fell behind early in the first with the Cougars scoring four. Saints got one run back in the bottom of the first, but not before Cleary would add two runs in the second. Cleary put up one run in the fourth. SHU pushed one across in the fourth, two runs scored in the fifth. The Saints had a huge seventh inning putting up five runs. 

Offensively for Siena Heights, Matthew Bondy led the team with three hits and three RBIs. J.R. Dawley, Carson Wlad and Austin Forsythe each had two hits. Daniel Muller had two RBIs, while Wlad, Forsythe and Zack Dunlop added one RBI each.

Defensivly, Landon Lumbrezer got the win for the Saints. He went six innings, gave up five hits, three runs and had one strike out.

The Saints (17-18) will be back in action on April 19 as they travel to Adrian for a 5 p.m. game.
