The following was printed on Jimaltice Thomas' HOF plaque:

The greatest sprinter in the history of Siena Heights University track & field, Thomas was a six-time NAIA All-American for the Saints from 1990-92.  "J.T." finished third in the 55-meter dash as a sophomore at the 1990 NAIA Indoor National Championships in Kansas City, MO.  She earned All-American honors five times and honorable mention All-American honors twice during her career.  Thomas was also a provisional qualifier in the 100 meters at the 1992 U.S. Olympic Trials and she still holds four indoor and four outdoor track & field school records. Thomas came to Siena Heights from Osborn High School in Detroit, where she was the Class A state champion in the 400 yard dash in 1991.

In addition to her athletic achievements at SHU, "J.T." was actively involved on campus and in the community.  Thomas was a member of the Residence Life Staff for two years, a member of both W.A.M.S. (We Are Minority Students) and S.H.A.A.K.A. (Siena Heights African American Knowledge Association), a member of the cheerleading squad, a member of the gospel choir and a volunteer for the local Big Sisters program. 

Thomas was named the college's Outstanding African-American Student in both leadership and academic achievement in 1992.
