The following was printed on the 1985 Wrestling Team's HOF plaque:

In terms of team and individual successes, the 1985 Siena Heights College wrestling team enjoyed its finest season in the program’s history.  Coach Gail Shinall’s team placed in the top three at the National Catholic Championships, which included several NCAA Division I programs. The Saints placed 34^th at the NAIA National Championships and had two individual All-Americans in 167-pounder Bob Meszaros (who finished 7^th) and 190-pounder Doug Pfeiffer (who placed 8^th).
