The following was printed on the 1997 Women's Cross Country Team's HOF plaque:

Led by Head Coach Don Kleinow, the Saints compiled an overall record of 114-32 on their way to an 11th-place finish at the NAIA National Championships.  The Saints’ regular-season accomplishments included a 1st-place finish at the Eastern Michigan University Open, a 6th-place finish at the National All-Catholic Championships in the University Division and a 2nd-place finish in the Collegiate Division at the National Catholic.  Tina Richards and Danielle Risner earned All-National Catholic honors for the Saints in South Bend.  Kleinow’s club placed 9th at the All-Michigan Collegiate Championships, and Richards earned All-Michigan honors.  The Saints won the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference championship, and Kristy Davenport joined Richards and Risner on the All-WHAC Team.  An All-American performance by Tina Richards (4th-place overall) led the Saints to their best finish ever at the NAIA National Championships in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  They also placed 10th overall in the All-Academic Team Award competition with Stephanie Sarles, Annie Stawasz and Amanda Tabb, earning Academic All-American honors.  The 1997 Siena Heights women’s cross country team included Ulli Dalton, Kristy Davenport, Jamie Johnson, Katrina King, Bridget McBroom, Bridget Nesbit, 2005 SHU Hall of Fame inductee Tina Richards, Danielle Risner, Stephanie Sarles, Annie Stawasz, Amanda Tabb, Gina Watson and Coach Don Kleinow.
