The following was printed on the 1993-94 Men's Basketball Team's HOF plaque:

The 2006 Siena Heights University “Hall of Fame Team” is the 1993-94 Men’s Basketball team.  Coach Fred Smith’s club went 27-8 overall and 9-1 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference on its way to winning both the WHAC regular-season and conference tournament titles.   The 1993-94 Saints were the last Siena Heights men’s basketball team to compete at the NAIA Division I National Tournament.  The Saints drew #5-seeded Oklahoma City University in the first round and fell 104-99 in a game that featured several lead changes and forty minutes of action.  Following their first-round victory over the Saints, Oklahoma City dominated their other opponents and won the 1993-94 NAIA national championship in convincing fashion.

The ’93-’94 Saints’ team included SHU Hall of Famers Brent Tucker and Joe Dettling and was coached by 2006 NAIA Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Fred Smith.  Other members of the team included Brian Allers, Jo Jo Boggan, Derrick Bryant, Aaron Downs, Chuck Foster, Greg Hartman, Eric Hicks, Scott Norkey, Jim Plowman, Chris Williams, Kevin Woodmore and
Chuck Worthy.
