The following was printed on Dee (Koppelman) Stalker's
HOF plaque:
Dee Koppelman joined the Saints’ softball team in 1992 as
an All-State multi-sport athlete from nearby Ottawa Lake/Whiteford
High School and was recruited to play both basketball and softball
at Siena Heights. At the conclusion of her four-year career,
Koppelman became the all-time leader in runs scored (119) for the
Saints—a record that was surpassed in 2012. She scored
a team-high 46 runs in her senior season, which ranks #1 all-time
for runs scored in a single season in Saints’ fast-pitch
history. In addition to her #2 ranking all-time in runs
scored, Koppelman also ranks in the top ten in SHU softball career
statistical record in stolen bases, triples and at-bats.
Koppelman earned All-Conference honors twice during her
career and was part of the Saints’ best statistical season in
the team’s history in 1995. The 44 wins in the 1995
season remains the most wins ever for a Siena Heights softball
team.
