The most prolific power hitter in Saints’ baseball
history, Giacomantonio belted a school-record 33 homeruns and drove
in 195 runs during his four-year career as an infielder. His
260 career base hits are also the most ever by a Siena Heights
baseball player.
A career .318 hitter, Giacomantonio had an outstanding senior
season in 1994, when he helped guide the Saints to their only
regional championship and appearance in the NAIA World
Series. Giacomantonio batted .366 in ’94 and led the
team in hits (87), doubles (19), triples (4), home runs (10), RBI
(67) and slugging percentage (.605). He was a two-time
All-District and All-Region selection for the Saints.
Michael is a driver for the United Parcel Service and currently
lives in Sterling Heights with his wife, Melissa, and their son
Noah (2). They are expecting another child this week.
