The following was printed on Tammy (Clawson) Bates' HOF
plaque:
Tammy Clawson was the Siena Heights softball team’s ace of
the pitching staff for four straight seasons between 1985 and
1989. Clawson was named the team’s Most Valuable Player
in three of those four seasons, including her senior season in 1989
when she was named to the NAIA All-District #23 squad.
Clawson also played basketball for the Saints during her four-year
collegiate athletic career.
Bates continues to remain active in athletics as a softball and
basketball coach at the high school and junior high levels in
Jackson. She serves as a Deputy Court Administrator for the
12th District Judicial Court and resides in Albion.
