The following was printed on Steve Chappell's HOF plaque:
One of the top playmakers in the history of Siena Heights soccer, Steve Chappell ranked #1 all-time in assists for the Saints at the end of his career. Chappell was an All-District and All-Region midfielder for the Saints in 1986. The Saints posted an overall record of 45-16-4 and won two District #23 titles during Chappell’s three-year career. The Saints also advanced to two Area championships with Chappell in the midfield.
Upon graduating in 1988, Chappell returned home to Walnut Creek, CA and became a successful entrepreneur. Steve and his wife Lucy have three children (Megan, Madison and Morgan) and his future plans include coaching soccer at the high school level.
