Sean Carlson’s individual achievements as a four-year guard for Saints’ basketball team go hand-in-hand with his teams’ successes during his outstanding career.  At the time of his induction into the Hall of Fame, Carlson ranked #2 all-time in career scoring with 1,733 points and #4 all-time in three-point field goals with 242.  The Saints advanced to the NAIA Division II National Championship Tournament in each of Carlson’s four seasons with the team—including a semi-final appearance in 2000.  In 2001, the Saints captured the National Catholic Basketball Tournament championship, and Carlson was named the Tournament Most Valuable Player.  Carlson was a three-time selection to the All-WHAC Conference Team during his outstanding career.  In 2001 he earned NAIA Honorable Mention All-America honors and was named to the NAIA All-American Second Team in 2002 in his senior season.  The Saints compiled an overall record of 119-27 during Carlson’s career and captured three WHAC regular-season conference titles and one WHAC Conference Tournament title (2000).
