The following was printed on Kelly (Canino) Lupo's HOF plaque:

At the conclusion of her outstanding four-year soccer career in 1990, Kelly Canino was the top-rated scorer and one of the most decorated athletes in the program’s history.  She led the Saints in scoring in her first two seasons and still ranks among the top 5 all-time statistical leaders in goals (40) and total points (113).

Canino played forward on the 1988 team that became the first team ever at Siena Heights to be ranked #1 in the NAIA national poll.  The ’88 Saints captured District and Area titles and placed 3rd at the NAIA National Championships in just their third season as a varsity program.

Canino was one of two players on the Saints’ team to be named to the 1988 NAIA National Championship All-Tournament Team.  The sophomore scoring leader also earned 2nd Team NAIA All-American honors in 1988.

With her induction into the Siena Heights University Athletic Hall of Fame, Canino becomes the sixth player from the Saints’ 1988 women’s soccer team to earn this honor.
