Four Saints Named in WHAC Volleyball Honors

Four Siena Heights women's volleyball student-athletes received awards when the league office announced the 2019 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Women's Volleyball Awards on Thursday afternoon. Sophomore Janel Ruhlman (North Branch, Mich.) and senior Carrigan Gray (Bowling Green, Ohio) were both named second-team All-WHAC. Senior Anna Tartarian (Monroe, Mich.) was on the Champions of Character and the All-Academic team. Fellow senior Madison Sitter (Temperance, Mich.) joined Tartarian on the WHAC All-Academic list.

Ruhlman leads the team this season in kills (323), kills-per-set (3.14) and service aces (32). She has the third-highest attack percentage on the team with .208 and is fourth on the team in digs with 253. She has registered 12 double-doubles this season all coming in kills and digs.

Gray has paced the Saint attack all season with 786 assists and a team-leading 7.63 assists-per-set mark. Her 118 kills are Xth on the team while her 26 aces are third. She is also third in digs with 292. She has accumulated 16 double-doubles and one triple-double.
