ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team fell in straight sets to Lourdes in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) match on Friday night. Alli Conly (Linden, Mich.) led the Saint defense with 12 digs in the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Gray Wolves jumped out to a quick 10-3 lead before continuing to build upon the lead before taking a 25-8 decision for a 1-0 lead in the set score. Lourdes had a match-high attack percentage in the opening set of the match as they hit .462.
With the score 12-11 in favor of the Gray Wolves, the Saints rattled off five-straight points to take the lead and force Lourdes to call a timeout in set two. SHU would tally two more points to complete a 7-0 run to take an 18-12 lead. The Gray Wolves would rally and tie things up at 22 before retaking the lead, 23-22. Siena Heights would tie things up at 24, but Lourdes recorded the final two points to take a 2-0 lead.
The visitors jumped out to a lead in the third set before closing out the match with a 25-18 set-three victory.
TOP SAINTS
• Carrigan Gray (Bowling Green, Ohio) paced the Saint attack with 11 assists. She also registered two kills, eight digs, and a block assist.
• Janel Ruhlman (North Branch, Mich.) and Eriona Chambers (Flint, Mich.) led the Saints with five kills. Ruhlman also finished with nine digs and two blocks.
• Victoria Nerkowski (Mason, Mich.) had four kills, a dig, and two blocks.
THE OPPOSITION
• Emily Drenth had a match-high 19 kills.
• Allie Hale finished with 13 kills and 12 digs.
• Yasmin Assis led with 42 assists on the night.
