Adrian, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team lost to Ohio Northern today by a score of 14-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Saints opened the scoring  when Jenna Sommerville scored in the opening minute to make a 1-0. OHU would respond with back to back goals to make it a 2-1 game. The Polar Bear's lead wouldn't hold for long when Sommerville scored on a free position shot to tie the game up at 2. With 20 minutes left in the half, Ohio Northern scored on back to back goals to go ahead by two. Samantha Pawlowski netted a ball to cut the lead down to one goal with 14 minutes left in the half. The Polar Bear's would score four goals in a row to make it a 8-3 heading into halftime.

In the second half of the game after ONU scored a goal, Natalie Williams scored a goal assisted by Sommerville. Ohio Northern went on to score three more goals then Williams would net another shot to make now make it a 12-5 game. With the game in the final 10 minutes to play the Polar Bear's scored two more goals and then Alexis Nicole and Sommerville would add two goals to SHU's total but could not catch ONU.
