Hardeeville, SC – The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team lost its season opener by a score of 19 to 6.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half started off with SCAD scoring a goal in the first three minutes of the game to take a lead. Savannah College of Arts and Design eventually had a six goal lead when SHU got on the board. In a player-up situation Jenna Sommerville scored a goal assisted by Mackenzie Fisette. Siena would score again on a player-up as Samantha Pawlowski scored the Saints second goal to make it 6-2 with 15 minutes left in the game. The Bees would score seven more goals to make the score 13-2 going into halftime.
In the second half SCAD continued to score more goals. The bees went on to score three more goals then Natalie Williams added a goal to the Saints score. With 22 minutes left the score was 16-3. More goals by Sommerville, Pawlowski, and Katherine Tapia would make the game 19-6, but Siena was not able to come back.
