Saints Finish 7th at Ken Venturi Invitational in Angola, Ind.

ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Siena Heights men's golf team finished seventh out of eight teams with 225 points at the Ken Venturi Invitational hosted by Trine University at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Indiana on Friday. The tournament had a unique format with each team split into three duos. Holes 1-6 were a scramble, holes 7-12 were best ball, and 13-18 were alternate shot.

The pair of James Monteith (Dearborn, Mich.) and Drew Whelan (Tecumseh, Mich.) led the Saints with a final score of 73 for the tournament. James Kuenzer (Hillsdale, Mich.) and Grady Morlock (Adrian, Mich.) finished with a 75. The team of Aaron Bitz (Monroe, Mich.) and Colin Duffy (Pinckney, Mich.) rounded out the SHU tally with a 77.

The Saint men's golf team will compete in the first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Jamboree next Friday and Saturday, September 13-14 at the Timber Ridge Golf Course in Lansing, Michigan.
