Adrian, Mich. – The Siena Heights baseball team defeated Albion this afternoon by a score of 12-10

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Saints and Brits had a high scoring game today. Albion started off the game with scoring one run in the first inning and three in the second. Siena got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the 2nd when Weston Cook singled scoring a run to make it a 4-1 game. The Brits came out swinging in the 3rd inning as they put up four runs to extend their lead 8-1. But SHU got some runs back in the bottom half of the inning. Logan Nolff and David Pietryga each had RBIs then Ryley Overacker hit a double to right center to score Pietryga. With bases loaded, Snyder Torres walked to send home run in the inning make it a 8-6 ballgame.

Albion scored two more runs in the 5th but their scoring halted. Siena began their comeback in the 5th when SHU scored on a bases load balk. Then in the 6th, Logan Nolff singled to right sending home and run. Later in the 6th, another Saint scored off of a pass ball to make the score 10-9. During the 7th inning the Saints tied the game and took the lead as Brenden Baker scored on a wild pitch then David Pietryga had a RBI single to score two runs. Siena's pitcher kept the score the same and closed out the game for a 12-10 victory.
