Adrian, Mich. – The Siena Heights Baseball team got two wins today in their double header against Aquinas.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1:
Siena started off a little slow offensively but got it rolling quickly. Aquinas started out scoring in the first inning off of a sacrifice fly to put the game at 1-0. But the next inning, David Pietryga hit a RBI single to tie the game. AQ would then score on a two run home run in the 3rd inning then score twice in the 4th to put the game at 5-1. The Saints would get a 8 run inning in the 5th. Starting off the scoring Brenden Baker hit a RBI single followed by a Brendan Green RBI walk. Connor McCoy then hit a 2 RBI single to right field. Logan Nolff would rip a 2 RBI triple in the left center gap to put the Saints up 7-5. The scoring would continue as David Pietryga doubled to right center and scored a run right before a Ryley Overacker RBI.
Going into the 6th inning the score was 8-5 Siena. Then SHU kept the offense rolling when Green hit a RBI single. Connor McCoy followed Green by hitting another RBI double then Pietryga singled in McCoy. Overacker and Weston Cook would each add RBIs in the inning as well. As SHU looked to close the game out Aquinas scored two runs in the 9th but couldn't score anymore and the Siena Heights Saints won 14-7.

Game 2:
Aquinas would once again score first in the second game during the 4th inning. But SHU responded when Logan Nolff hit a RBI double and Ryley Overacker had a 2 RBI single to put the game at 3-1. Later in the 4th inning, Brenden Baker and Brendan Green both had RBI walks to extend the lead to 5-1. Aquinas scored two runs in the 5th but couldn't get anything else all game.

- Tristan Roth got the win and threw a complete game with 6 strikeouts and 1 earned run
- Connor McCoy had 2 hits and 1 run scored
- Ryley Overacker went 2-3 with 2 RBIs
