MUSKEGON, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's cross country team was the runner-up at the Jayhawk Cross Country Invitational, on Friday.

Finishing first for the Saints was Ashley Russo, crossing the finish line in 18:42.56 to earn fifth place. The individual winner was Stephanie Johnston from Concordia who finished the 5k course in 18:24.49.

In 20th place, Andrea Crowe finished in 19:32.33. Anna Buist took 27th in 19:50.04 and Patricia Santos-Bulitrago earned 34th in 20:03.78. The last Saints' runner to come in was was Megan Rosales, finishing 58th in 20:27.28.

Winning the event was Hope with 39 points, SHU managed second with 126 points.

Siena Heights will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 21, at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids, Mich.
