Women's Cross Country Finished Seventh at Royals Challenge

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Siena Heights women's cross country team competed in the Royals Cross Country Challenge in Charlottle, North Carolina on Friday, and finished in seventh overall out of 25 teams. 

SHU totaled 1:35:58 and averaged 19:11 per runner. Coming in first place was Lee (Tenn.) with a team time of 1:30:22 with a runner average of 18:04. 

The top finisher for Siena Heights was Ashley Russo with a time of 18:33, for a 26th place finish. Andrea Crowe and Megan Rosales each finished with a time of 18:58, finishing in 43rd and 44th. Eva Chmielewski was next for the Saints running a 19:36 followed by Patricia Santos-Buitrago with a time of 19:53. The first place finisher was Colette Rampf who ran a 17:05.

Next up, the Saints will travel to Mishawaka, Ind. to compete in the Bethel Invitational on Friday, Oct. 6.
