SYLVANIA, Ohio -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team faced off against Lourdes in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest on Wednesday and fell to the Gray Wolves, 3-1.

Lourdes (16-7, 7-2 WHAC) took the first set and the Saints were able to even the match after winning the second. LU regained advantage after winning the third set and was able to put SHU away in the fourth. Set scores were 16-25, 25-23, 18-25 and 13-25.

Leading the Saints (17-3, 7-2 WHAC) attack was Libby Breton with 12 kills, also adding four assisted blocks. Amanda Metz finished with a team high, 30 assists and contributed 13 digs. Paige Hudgin also helped with 13 digs to go with seven kills. Gabrielle Kalugar was the Saints' leader with 25 digs. 

Next up, SHU will compete in the Aquinas/Cornerstone Classic this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13-14. Friday the Saints will take on Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) and Cumberlands (Ky.) at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Saturday, will face off against Taylor (Ind.) at 10 a.m. and Indiana-South Bend at 1 p.m.
