Breton Named to CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team

Junior Libby Breton, a member of the Siena Heights women's volleyball team, was honored as a member of the CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team.

Breton, a biology major, maintains a 4.0 GPA and was previously named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team, the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and was named as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete. Amongst the All-America honorees, there were just four student-athletes recording a 4.0 GPA, with Breton being one.

This season, Brenon averaged 1.85 kills per set, totaling 211 kills and a hitting percentage of .309. She has also contributed ten solo blocks and 87 assisted finishing regular season play with 97 total blocks.

In order to be eligible for this award, the student-athlete must maintain a minimum 3.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale, have completed one full year at the nominating institution, and compete in at least 50 percent of the team's contests. This award recognizes student-athletes for their combined performance athletically and academically.
