Paige Hudgin was honored as the NAIA Mideast Region freshman of the year, along with being named Mideast All-Region Honorable Mention as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Friday. She was the only freshman to receive honors as a member of the All-Region team.
In her debut season, Hudgin competed in 33 matches, totaling 119 sets. She led the Saints with 409 kills and averaged 3.44 kills per set. She recorded her season high with 23 kills in a victory over Aquinas (Oct. 5).
Hudgin also finished second on the team with 379 digs and averaged 3.18 digs per set. She completed her season high with 25 digs in a loss to Aquinas (Nov. 2).
With the Hudgin's help, the Saints finished the season 22-12 overall.
