Third Time Not a Charm for Women's Volleyball Against Indiana Tech

SYLVANIA, Ohio-- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team fell in a 3-0 decision to Indiana Tech in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference quarterfinal match on Friday at Tam-o-Shanter.

Leze Vukaj had eight kills to lead the Saints while Libby Breton, Ashleigh Shay and Taylor Felver all contributed five kills.

Also for SHU (21-11), Carly Tillotson accumulated 20 assists. Bianca Negron finished the night with 10 digs for the Saints.

For Indiana Tech (22-15), Paige Doellman led the way with 11 kills. Autumn Stokes had 24 assists and Taylor Kelso finished the match with 18 digs.

Set one: Indiana Tech 25, Siena Heights 13
The Saints had two early leads before falling behind the Warriors. Indiana Tech broke the 3-3 knot and went on a 7-1 run and sailed to a 1-0 match lead.

Set two: Indiana Tech 25, Siena Heights 19
Indiana Tech opened up with a 7-1 run. SHU tied the set up at 12-all. The Warriors had a late 5-0 run to take set two.

Set three: Indiana Tech 25, Siena Heights 22
Siena Heights grabbed an early lead before Indiana Tech went on a 9-0 run sending the score to 6-11. The Saints forced five late knots - 16, 17, 18, 20 and 21 - before the Warriors finished the match.
