Women's Volleyball Defeated by Cornerstone

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to Cornerstone in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action on Wednesday.

Halie Baker had nine kills while Carly Tillotson contributed 28 assists and 14 digs for the Saints (11-9, 8-8), who lost sets by scores of 25-18, 25-23, 25-19.

Nicole Morgan added 16 digs on defense for SHU.

For Cornerstone (19-8, 10-6), Chelsea Lake led the way with 14 kills and 17 digs. Megan Newhouse added 11 kills and 18 digs while Hope Leppink contributed 33 assists.

The Saints will travel back to Grand Rapids this weekend for the Aquinas/Cornerstone Classic. Opponents for SHU include William Penn (Iowa), Spring Arbor, Goshen (Ind.) and Rochester.
