Women's Volleyball Falls to UNOH

LIMA, Ohio -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Northwestern Ohio in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Wednesday.

SHU dropped sets by scores of 25-22, 25-18, and 29-27.

Halie Baker finished with 17 kills for the Saints (3-3, 0-2) while Carly Tillotson chipped in with eight kills and 29 assists. Nicole Morgan added 16 digs.

Siena Heights trailed the entire first set after dropping the first two points. Then, in the second, the Saints took their first lead of the match with four consecutive points -- getting one kill, one ace and two assists from Tillotson during the run -- but a 10-1 run by UNOH put the hosts ahead for good in the set.

In the third set, the Saints opened on a 4-0 run behind three kills from Baker. The set featured 10 tie scores including 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27, before the Racers (7-6, 1-1) finished the match off with two straight points.

Chanel Cantere had 12 kills and 10 digs for Northwestern Ohio while Megan Fullenkamp and Nora Fa'Atiga contributed nine kills each.

Hailey Rosinski added 33 assists and Kaitlin Mault finished with 16 digs for UNOH.

The Saints will be in action again on Friday when they host WHAC opponent Lourdes (Ohio) at 7 p.m. for their home opener.
