Emily Reader returns for her second season on the Siena Heights track and field staff as a mid-distance and distance coach as well as the recruit coordinator. Reader has five years of experience coaching the Sky Jumpers Vertical Sports Club from 2011-2015.
Reader graduated from Oliver Nazarene (Ill.) in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. While attending ONU, she was a four year member of the women's track and field team as a pole vaulter. She was a four-time national qualifier, All-CCAC and All-CCAC Academic honoree. Reader also earned All-American honors her senior year, clearing the bar at 12'6".
In 2009, Reader broke the Mason High School pole vault record, which still stands.
While attending SHU, Reader is pursuing her master's degree in mental health counseling.
