SHU Women’s Track and Field Wins Concordia (Mich.) Legacy Meet

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's track and field team competed at the Concordia (Mich.) Legacy Invitational over the weekend. The Saints won the two-day meet with a total score of 124 points.

Samantha Nowell led the way for Siena Heights with a win in the pole vault after she cleared the bar at a height of 3.50m.

Chelsea Short finished second in the 100m dash with a time of 12.63 and fifth in the 200m with a 25.75. Isabelle Uganski was second in the 5k with a finish of 20:38.03. Faith Jackson finished the 100 hurdles in 14.68 for second place.  Jackson was also third in the 100m with a finish of 12.78. Daijah Hill cleared the bar in the high jump at 1.63m to claim second in the event. Tiffani Larder placed second in the long jump with a leap of 5.08m. Larder also placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 10.28m.

Alexis Cordle was third in the 800 with a finish of 2:30.35. Brooke Hildebrandt placed third in the 5k after crossing the finish line at 21:20.09. Brianna Hatfield placed third in the high jump with a 1.63m clearance. Erin Gotha finished the hammer throw in third with a heave of 41.09m.

Elisa Blackmon-Todd placed fourth in the 100m with a time of 12.82. Jenna Salek was fourth in the 200m with a time of 25.75. Salek also placed fifth in the 100m with a finish of 12.84. Morgan Turk had two fourth-place finishes. The first was in the 800 with a 2:37.34, the second in the 1500 with a time of 5:10.60. The SHU 4x100 relay team consisting of Jackson, Short, Russell, and Blackmon-Todd placed fourth with a time of 48.50. Brooke Beyer was fourth in the shot put with a throw of 11.63m.

Samantha Scott finished high jump in fifth after a successful jump of 1.54m. Jordan Lumbrezer was the final top-five finisher for Siena Heights with a hammer throw of 40.75m.
