Siena Heights women's track and field athlete Haley Hudson was announced the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) women's indoor field athlete of the week by the league office on Monday.

Hudson highlighted the women's team performance at the SVSU Holiday Open by breaking the school record in the shot put with an auto-qualifying throw of 14.65m (48' 0.75") to win the event. Her record-breaking throw leads the WHAC and is currently the third-highest in the NAIA.

This is the first athlete of the week honor of Hudson's career and the second this season for the Siena Heights women's track and field team.
