Women's Track and Field 4x400m Relay Breaks Program Record at the NAIA Championships - Day 2

GULF SHORES, Ala. – In the second day of NAIA National Championship action, the Siena Heights women's track and field team 4x400 meter relay broke the program record and advanced to the finals while four individuals place in the top 15, on Friday.

The 4x400 meter team broke a program record with a time of 3:48.18 to earn seventh place in the trials. The SHU team consisted of Tyriah Pryor, Delaney Stersic, Madisyn Kleinschmit and Brianna Pekel. Currently in first with a time of 3:46.00 in WHAC foe Indiana Tech, followed by a second place Aquinas in 3:46.25. The top eight teams will face off in the finals on Saturday.

Haley Hudson started the day for SHU in the shot put, earning 10th place with a toss of 13.38 meters.

Also earning 10th place for the Saints, Alexis Moore finished the 400 meter dash in 56.97 seconds.

Asia Gardner managed 11th place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.07 seconds.

Charlena Williams earned 12th place in the triple jump with a leap of 11.26 meters.

In the 100 meter hurdles, Mildrenae Young-Brooks crossed the finish line in 14.98 seconds for 20th place.

The Saints will return to action on Saturday for the final day of the championship meet. Competing tomorrow for SHU will be the 4x100 meter relay and the 4x400 meter relay.
