McKinley Sisters Vault to NAIA All-American Honors

GULF SHORES, Ala. -- After two days of action, the Siena Heights women's track and field team has earned two All-American honors while qualifying for finals in four events at the NAIA Championships, on Thursday and Friday.

Sheila McKinley and Tasha McKinley each earned All-American honors in the pole vault, earning fifth and sixth place, respectively. Sheila took fifth via tie-breaker, clearing 3.85 meters (12-7.5) while Tasha vaulted over 3.80m (12-5.5).

The SHU 4x100m relay team finished third in the preliminary round, crossing the finish line at 46.44 seconds.

Asia Gardner qualified for the finals in both the 200m dash and the 100m dash, finishing in seventh and eighth, respectively, in the preliminary round.

In the 400m dash, Alexis Moore finished fifth to earn a spot in the finals, coming in at 56.74 seconds.

The Saints will compete in the final day of action at the NAIA Championships, on Saturday.
