ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's outdoor track and field team had four NAIA automatic-qualifying performances and two provisionals as it placed fourth at Grand Valley State's Al Owens Classic on Friday and Saturday.

Among those four autos, three were newly-stamped tickets to the NAIA Outdoor Championships.

Marissa Johnson won the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 7 3/4 inches (1.72 meters) -- an improvement of her previous auto by 3/4 inches.

Stephanie Marquardt jumped from provisional to auto status in the 100-meter hurdles. After seeding fifth in the preliminaries with a time of 14.72 seconds, she finished fifth in the final with a time of 14.62 seconds -- a .35-second improvement over her previous provisional.

Ashley O'Neill claimed an auto while placing sixth in the discus. She distanced 143-9 (43.83m).

The Saints' 4x400 squad also hit an auto, clocking in at 3:53.44 to place second. Team members were Jalesia Johnson, Alexis Johnson, Brianna Pekel and Arika Knannlein.

SHU's 4x100 team recorded a new provisional and placed third in 48.08 seconds. Members of that team were Marquardt, Dominique Taylor, Pekel and Jalesia Johnson.

Haley Hudson had the Saints' only individual provisional, finishing second in the shot put with a 43-7 3/4 (13.30m).

In team scoring, the Saints had 57 1/2 points and finished behind only host GVSU (230 1/2), Aquinas (81) and Northern Michigan (68).
