ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team fell 1-0 at home against Lourdes in the team's opening game in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC). The Saints (5-2-1, 0-1-0 WHAC) gave up a goal at 58:00 and were unable to answer in the defeat.

Emily Broman, Allie Balasico, Marissa Young, and MacKenzie Stenzel each tallied a shot on goal for SHU. Kara Bishop (L, 5-1-1) made three saves but still suffered her first loss of the season and had her streak of five-consecutive shutouts snapped in the 90-minute effort.

SHU had chances to score, but Gray Wolves goalie Emmy Rodgers (W, 2-1-2) stopped all four shots she faced to keep the Saints scoreless. Despite the loss, SHU edged out Lourdes 7-6 in shots and 3-1 in corner kicks. The game was very clean as both teams combined for just 17 fouls and neither team was issued a card.
