Siena earns a shutout against Indiana Tech

Adrian, Mich. The Siena Heights women's soccer team shutout Indiana Tech today by a score of 3-0

How It Happened:

Siena Heights dominated offensively over Indiana Tech all game. The Saints were able to out shoot the Warriors 17-7. However, Siena could not capitalize on any goals during the first half.

In the second half Siena kicked off their scoring as Taylor Mulder (Senior, Saline, Mich.) netted a ball in the 60th minute. Later in the half, Paige Rachut (Senior, Plainwell, Mich.) scored a goal to make it a 2-0 game. Rachut a couple of minutes later in the 82nd minute tailed another goal to add to Siena's lead.

Sophia Lentz (Junior, Kalamazoo, Mich.) started in goal for the Saints and made six saves while earning a shutout.

Top Saints:

  • Mulder scored her 50th career goal
  • Rachut scored her 6th and 7th goal on the season today
  • Lentz improves to 5-1 on the season with three shutouts
