Six Saints Score in Women's Soccer Victory Over Michigan-Dearborn

RIVERVIEW, Mich. – Six different Saints scored in the Siena Heights women's soccer 6-0 victory over Michigan-Dearborn in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest, on Saturday.

Tabbing the game-winning goal for the Saints was Samantha Bartelotti, finishing a pass from Paige Rachut in the 23rd-minute. Ashley Strong finished one in the 28th-minute, holding the score 2-0 through halftime.

Scoring goals in the second half was Alexis Gainer, Taylor Mulder, Madison Tedora and Kelsey Cheaney with assists coming from Emily Burkman, Bartelotti, Kaleigh Mahaz and Morgan Siterlet.

Siena Heights outshot the Wolverines 44-3 while managing to get 26 shot on target compared to UM-Dearborn's lone shot on goal, which came from Jenna Rogers. Bartelotti and Mulder led SHU in shots, each managing five on goal. SHU also held a 12-0 corner kick advantage.

Earning the win for the Saints was Taylor Hill, making the lone save of the day for SHU. She was relieved by Sophia Lentz and halftime. Jordan Anheuser made 20 saves in net for the Wolverines.

Up next, Siena Heights will travel to Lourdes for a 4 p.m. WHAC contest, on Wednesday.
