Women's Soccer Ties With Lawrence Tech in WHAC Contest

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team traveled to take on Lawrence Tech in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest on Friday and finished with a 1-1 tie after two overtimes. 

Opening scoring was the Saints' Kathryn Gordon, netting a shot at 31:11 with the assist by Madison Tedora. About four minutes later, the Blue Devils (3-5-1, 0-1-1 WHAC) struck back, tying the score at one a piece. Neither team was able to score again and the game ended in a tie. 

SHU took 26 shots, and 14 shots on goal to 10 shots and six on goal by LTU. Samantha Bartelotti led Siena Heights with 13 shots total including five on frame. 

Meghan Bogg started the game in goal for Siena Heights (4-5-1, 1-1-1 WHAC) making three saves before being relieved by Sophia Lentz who made two saves. 

The Saints held a 7-3 corner kick advantage over the Blue Devils. 

Siena Heights will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 4, when they host WHAC opponent, Aquinas for a 7 p.m. contest.
