DETROIT, Mich.— Five Saints scored as the 22nd-ranked Siena Heights women's soccer team defeated Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foe Marygrove 5-0, on Saturday.

The Saints were up 1-0 at the half on a goal from Alexis Gainer, assist from Kelsey Schoenberger.

After halftime, Emily Loar netted a pass from Gainer in the 49th minute. Erin Scheidel, Julia Stancato and Emily Burkman each scored unassisted goals for the Saints.

The Saints defense not only held Marygrove to a shutout, but did not allow any shots. Meghan Bogg earned the win for the Saints. Melyssa made 15 saves for the Mustangs (1-14-0, 0-8-0).

Siena Heights (11-3-2, 7-1-0) had 32 shots and 12 corner kicks while the Mustangs were shutout in both categories.

The Saints will return to action on Wednesday when they host 17th-ranked Davenport for a 7 p.m. WHAC contest.
