#22 Women's Soccer Handles Cornerstone

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The 22nd-ranked Siena Heights women's soccer team defeated Cornerstone, 3-0, in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action, on Saturday. 

Emily Burkman scored what would eventually be the game-winner in the ninth minute. Taylor Mulder sent in a corner kick that Burman headed into the back of the net. 

In the 32nd minute, Samantha Bartelotti sent a through ball to Mulder who beat the keeper to score the Saints' second goal. 

Danielle Eastman added another insurance goal for SHU (9-3-2, 5-1-0) in the 61st minute as she volleyed a loose ball into the goal. 

For the Saints, Taylor Hill earned the win after stopping four shots in net. Also making four saves was CU goalkeeper Allison Snowden. 

Bartelotti led SHU with three shots, all three of which on frame. For the Golden Eagles (7-6-1, 2-5-0), Alexys Riksen took two shots. 

Siena Heights outshot Cornerstone, 11-8, and held a 5-3 corner kick advantage. 

Next up, SHU will travel to Indiana Tech for a WHAC contest on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
