#23 Women's Soccer Earns Coach Oliver's 200th Career Win

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The 23rd-ranked Siena Heights women's soccer team defeated Aquinas in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action, 2-1, on Wednesday, to earn the 200th career victory for SHU head women's soccer coach, Scott Oliver.

Samantha Bartelotti opened the scoring quickly for the SHU (7-3-2, 3-1-0), netting an unassisted shot only 2:18 into the match.

Just a few minutes later, Siena Heights pressured Aquinas into an own goal--the initial pressure coming for SHU's Taylor Mulder in the eighth minute.

In the 18th minute, Anya Pallas finished an unassisted shot for the Aquinas Saints (6-4-2, 2-2-0) to cut the SHU lead to 2-1, which would hold for the remainder of the match.

For the SHU Saints, Bartelotti led with three shots, including one on frame. Julia Stancatto also tallied three shots for Seina Heights, while Alexis Gainer added two attempts, both on frame.

Winning-goalkeeper Meghan Bogg stopped two shots for SHU. Kylie Robb made six saves in net for Aquinas.

Siena Heights outshot Aquinas, 12-9, and held a 6-4 corner kick advantage.

Next up, SHU will travel to Lourdes (Ohio) for WHAC contest on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 4:30 p.m.
