Women's Soccer Wins Fifth Straight, Goes 2-0 at SHU Classic

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team won its fifth straight game, defeating Bethel (Ind.), 3-1, during the SHU Classic at O'Laughlin Stadium on Saturday.

Erin Scheidel, Carlee Pallett and Samantha Bartelotti scored the Siena Heights goals.

Scheidel put the Saints ahead in the 22nd minute before Pallett extended the lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 50th with assists from Paige Frey and Emily Burkman.

SHU finished out its scoring in the 79th minute on a goal by Bartelotti.

Bethel's Diana Diaz-Diurych scored the game's final goal in the 84th minute with an assist from Lauren Kindinger.

Winning goalkeeper Crystal Wilcoxen stopped two shots for the Saints, who had a 22-3 shot advantage. Mallory Conrad made nine saves for the Pilots (1-5).

Siena Heights (5-0) will return to action on Tuesday with a 7 p.m. match at Saint Francis (Ind.).
