Borders, who competed in the freshman/sophomore 157-pound weight class, and open 157 competitor Alejandro Castro were SHU's only two grapplers to register more than one win on the mat.
Borders picked up two decisions and a pinfall versus an unattached opponent and wrestlers from Baker and Pratt. Castro defeated two different Missouri Valley wrestlers via pinfall and decision.
