#7 Women's Lacrosse 2018 Season Recap

The No. 7 Siena Heights women's lacrosse team ended the 2018 season with an overall record of 13-5 while advancing to the NAIA Women's Lacrosse National Invitational for the first time in program history. Twelve Saints earned post-season honors, as awarded by the WHAC, NAIA and Head Coach Cindy Hill.

As a team, the Saints finished the season as the seventh-ranked team in the NAIA. They concluded their season in the NAIA Invitational quarterfinal, falling to No. 2 Cumberlands (Ky.).

The Offensive Most Valuable Player was Marissa Cirino while Hannah Argue earned the Defensive Most Valuable Player Award. Cirino ended the season with 45 goals and 33 assists for a team leading 78 points while also picking up 55 groundballs. Argue helped the Saints' defense with 12 caused turnovers and 18 groundballs, adding three goals.

The Most Improved Player this season was Taylor Swartz with the Freshman Award went to Mariah Smythe. Katherine Tapia earned the Coach's Award from Coach Hill.
