#5 Women's Lacrosse Defeats Madonna in WHAC Action

LIVONIA, Mich. -- The No. 5 Siena Heights women's lacrosse team traveled to take on Madonna in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest. The Saints walked away with the 14-3 victory.

SHU (8-2, 1-1 WHAC) opened the contest on a 6-0 scoring run and never looked back, only allowing two goals in the first half and just one in the second. 

Natalie Williams led the Saints with five goals on seven shots on goal. Taylor Swartz added three goals for SHU and Kayla Parks finished with a team high, two assists. Goal keeper, Lizzy Elliott earned the win for Siena Heights, allowing just three goals and making 15 saves on 18 shots faced. 

For the Crusaders (1-9, 0-2 WHAC), Dana Haney scored a team high two goals. Goalie Marissa West suffered the loss while givining up 14 goals and making 11 saves on 25 shots faced. 

Next up, the Siena Heights women's lacrosse team will host Aquinas in a WHAC match-up. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
