#4 Women's Lacrosse Falls to #3 Lawrence Tech in WHAC Action

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The No. 4 Siena Heights women's lacrosse team took on No. 3 ranked Lawrence Tech on Saturday in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference match-up. The Saints dropped the contest 19-3.

The Blue Devils got off to a quick start and led the Saints 12-2 at the half. SHU was not able to recover from that deficit, only scoring one more goal late in the contest.

Kayla Parks scored two of the Saints three goals with Marissa Cirino scoring the other. Cirino also recorded the Saints' only assist. Mariah Smythe started in goal and played the first 37:09 of the contest, allowing 13 goals and making 10 saves. Lizzy Elliott played the final 22:51, allowed six goals and made three saves. 

Isabelle Vickers scored five goals to lead Lawrence Tech. Ashley Collins finished with four assists. Marie Klonowski earned the win in goal for LTU allowing two goals and making five saves.  

Next up, the Saints will travel to take on Marian (Ind.) in a non-conference contest on Sunday, Mar. 18. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
