The 10th-ranked Siena Heights women's lacrosse team was chosen as the No. 3 team in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference in the Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the WHAC recently. In the 2017 season, the Saints garnered an 11-7 overall record while holding a 7-7 WHAC slate.
Last year's NAIA National Invitational runner-up Lawrence Tech is picked as the preseason favorite in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) women's lacrosse. LTU tied Davenport for the regular season championship in 2017 with a 13-1 league record. Indiana Tech is picked second in the poll. The Warriors finished last year with a 10-4 WHAC mark. Siena Heights, 7-7 last year, is picked third. The top four teams at the end of the season will compete in the WHAC tournament at the number one seed April 27-28.
