#9 Women's Lacrosse Falls to Aquinas in WHAC Action

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The ninth-ranked Siena Heights women's lacrosse team hosted Aquinas in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest on Saturday. The Saints dropped the contest after giving up four unanswered goals to start the second half that ended up being costly. 

After the first half, Aquinas entered the break with a 5-3 advantage. Quickly in the second half AQ opened the lead to 10-3. The SHU Saints were able to rally back and close the gap to a four point separation, but it was not enough to complete the comeback. 

With three goals, and leading the Saints, was Kayla Parks. Each contributing two goals was Marissa Cirino and Aliisa Mason. Mason also finished with one assist. In net for Siena Heights was Tabitha Ferguson making 15 saves and suffering the loss. 

For Aquinas (8-8, 6-7 WHAC), Cara Burns and Anna Curcuru each scored four goals. Burns also added a team high three assists. Genevieve Terrana grabbed the win in goal finishing with 20 saves. 

The Saints finish its season with a 11-7 overall record and a 7-7 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference record.
