#3 Lawrence Tech Overwhelms #10 Women's Lacrosse

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The tenth-ranked Siena Heights women's lacrosse team fell 21-8 to third-ranked Lawrence Tech in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action, on Saturday.

SHU (9-5, 5-5 WHAC) trailed the Blue Devils 8-4 heading into halftime and closed the gap to 10-7 but were unable to cut the lead anymore, eventually falling 21-8.

Aliisa Mason scored three goals for the Saints while Natalie Williams netted two. Marissa Cirino, Katherine Tapia and Casey Rappuhn each scored one goal. Cirino and Tapia earned two assists and one assist, respectively.

For LTU (10-1, 7-1 WHAC), Isabelle Vickers scored six goals and tallied five assists. Ashley Collins and Anna Gagnon each netted five goals adding three and two assists, respectively. Kadijah Kalo scored three goals and Paige Holcomb added two.

In goal, Tabitha Ferguson made 10 saves for the Saints while winning goalie Marie Klonowski stopped 10 shots for Lawrence Tech. Siena Heights was outshot 31-18.

The Saints will return to action at Madonna on Wednesday. The conference contest is set for a 5 p.m. start.
