#10 Women's Lacrosse Takes Down Concordia

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The No. 10 Siena Heights women's lacrosse team defeated Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foe Concordia 19-4, on Wednesday.

SHU came out quick in the rain, netting 10 goals in the first 11 minutes of action before the Cardinals put one past Saints' goaltender Tabitha Ferguson. The Saints held a 13-2 lead at halftime and finished the second half with six more goals.

Kayla Parks led the Saints with five goals and an assist while Marissa Cirino scored four and earned three assists. Katherine Tapia and Aliisa Mason each netted three shots, Mason tacking on three assists. With two goals was Audrey Jarrad as Casey Rappuhn and Natalie Williams added solo goals, Willaims also earned an assist.

For Concordia (3-7, 2-7 WHAC), Lauren Litogot scored twice while Abigal Turner and Jessica Russ netted solo shots.

Ferguson earned the win in goal with 10 saves for the Saints as Mason caused foru turnovers and Parks caused three. CUAA's goalie Samantha Shatrau stopped four shots, helped by Litogot who caused four turnovers.

The Saints (9-4, 5-4 WHAC) will return to action at second-ranked Lawrence Tech on Saturday for a 1 p.m. WHAC contest.
