Women's Lacrosse Shutdowns in Second Half Loss Against Lourdes

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team dropped a 12-7 contest to WHAC opponent Lourdes (Ohio) on Saturday.

Sam Pawlowski started the scoring for SHU (7-9, 3-7) with 22:56 remaining in the first half. Aliisa Mason tacked on another Saint goal prior to the 20-minute mark.

The remainder of the first half went back and forth. Mason scored with 7:07 on the clock to put the Saints up 6-5. Alyssa Long for the Gray Wolves (6-8, 3-6) answered with only 00:11 seconds on the clock to tie it 6-6 going into halftime.

Pawlowski agian start the scoring, netting a pass from Mason less than two minutes into the half. Unfortunately, the Gray Wolves shut out the Saints for the remainder of the game and scoring six goals of their own.

Tabitha Ferguson made 11 stops for the Saints while Kiley Ketteman made 10 saves for Lourdes.

For the Saints, Mason and Pawlowski each scored three goals while Kayla Parks finished one shot.

The Saints will be back in action on Sunday when they host Ursuline (Ohio) at 6 p.m.
