#9 Women's Lacrosse Wins Third Straight

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The ninth-ranked Siena Heights women's lacrosse team outlasted Lourdes (Ohio) for a 10-9 victory in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Friday at O'Laughlin Stadium.

Sabrina Snow scored three goals, including the go-ahead score, as the Saints (5-2, 3-2) earned their third consecutive win -- all of which have been won by one goal.

Erin Kehn and Kayla Parks added two goals apiece while Aliisa Mason, Madison Sabourin and Sydney VanHoose tacked on single goals.

Sabourin also had three assists and three caused turnovers while Mason finished with an assist and six groundballs.

Karley Engelsman added four GBs in support of winning goalie Tabitha Ferguson, who had seven saves.

The contest featured seven tie scores -- at 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 -- before Snow gave the Saints the lead for good with 7:11 left in the game. Mason assisted the score.

VanHoose added an insurance tally with 3:17 remaining.

Lourdes' Alyssa Long, who finished with five goals, scored her final goal with 1:59 left, but that was as close as the visiting Gray Wolves (2-5, 0-5) would get.

Long also caused three turnovers while LU goalie Kiley Ketteman stopped six shots and Bree Copley picked up five groundballs.

The Saints will return to action on Saturday with a 3 p.m. non-conference game against Midland (Neb.).
